Dangerous Animals In Florida

Florida is a beautiful state filled a variety of animals and places to discover.  However, there are some very dangerous animals to be aware of and to avoid at all costs.  From poisonous insects to large mammals, Florida contains some of the countries most exotic and deadliest species.  Due to careless pet owners, foreign animals now live in the Everglades located in South Florida.  There are now deadly species native to South America, Africa, and others in Florida.

1.  Insects 
     Fire Ants, Bees, Hornets, Scorpions, Stinging Caterpillars, Centipedes

     Reptiles: Snakes (Coral Snakes, Pythons, Rattlesnakes, Copperheads, Cottonmouths)
     Alligators, Crocodiles, Snapping Turtles, 


                                  Saltwater Crocodiles are now present in South Florida,
                                  inhabiting the Everglades. The Water Moccasin is highly
                                  common throughout Florida and very poisonous.  Avoid
                                  this snake at all costs.



  Mammals  Sharks: (Tiger Shark, Great White Shark, Hammerhead Shark, Bull Shark,)
  Black Bear, Florida Panther, Wild Boar, Jellyfish, Barracuda



                           The wild boar can grow up to 300 lbs. and have a reputation for
                           attacking people.  Most shark attacks occur because of the Bull
                           Shark, they can slo swim in fresh water.  Although endangered,
                           the Florida Panther still inhabits regions throughout Florida.
